You won't be sick with plans: the oligarch offered the Cabinet to save the plant in Kharkov


The Ukrainian oligarch, president of the DCH group, Alexander Aleksky, says he is ready to raise $1 billion to restore the capacity of the Kharkov aircraft plant. The official statement of the businessman was published today, August 14, the correspondent of the news agency reports. Yaroslavl calls the aircraft factory in Kharkov the pride of the city and emphasizes that it is impossible to achieve a real revival of the enterprise by reorganizations and permutations alone. You won't be sick of plans, the KHAZ team needs salaries and guarantees to maintain jobs regardless of who gives them and how, he said. Yaroslavl did not specify the source of investments, but noted that of the amount he named, $100 million will be used to pay debts, $500 million for the completion of aircraft, the production of which has already begun, and the construction of new ones, $400 million to finance the enterprise development program. The businessman also emphasized that it does not matter to him under what conditions the DCH group will participate in the process of reviving the plant, whether it will be privatization or a private-state partnership. The news agency recalls that on the eve of the plant, during a visit to the Kharkov region, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal visited, announcing the creation of a working group that will develop a plan for the development of a production enterprise. According to him, now it is critical to make a decision on installments or debt restructuring, which will allow approving the reorganization plan of the enterprise and unlocking its work.
