The working group on Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO met for the first time in 15 years
The meeting of the working group on Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) was held for the first time in 15 years, the press service of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the republic said on July 8. Deputy Director General of the WTO A. Wolfe welcomed the decision of Uzbekistan to resume the process of accession of the republic to the WTO. The participants of the meeting decided to organize bilateral negotiations on ensuring access to the market of goods and services. Negotiations will be held from July 20 to 31. It will also be decided to proceed to the next stage of negotiations with the preparation of a factual summary. According to the news agency, a working negotiating group on Uzbekistan's speech at the WTO was created in 1998.
