In Japan, evacuated residents from 500 flooded houses
In northern Japan, in Yamagata Prefecture on Honshu Island, rivers spilled due to heavy rains flooded a number of residential areas. This was reported on July 30 by NHK. In total, about 500 houses were in the flood zone that went off the banks of the Mogami River, from which residents were quickly evacuated. According to the channel, several hundred people are currently placed in evacuation centers. It is noted that there are no victims of the flood. Water disruption in several areas of the prefecture caused by river spills also left about 15 hospitals and aged care centers without water. According to the news agency, most of Japan's territory on the islands of Kyushu and Shikoku was covered with new rains. According to experts, long rains and low pressure create unstable atmospheric conditions in western Japan.
