Former Malaysian Prime Minister found guilty in 1MDB case

The Supreme Court of Malaysia convicted former Prime Minister Najib Razak for abuse of power, Reuters reported on July 28. The former Prime Minister of Malaysia was sentenced to 12 years in prison and a fine of 210 million Malaysian ringgit ($49 million) in the case of multibillion-dollar embezzlement in the 1MDB state fund. In total, in the case of corruption related to 1MDB, Razak was charged with 42 criminal offenses, including receiving bribes from SRC International and laundering criminal proceeds. See also:
