Off the coast of Iceland recorded an earthquake of magnitude 6.0


Seismologists recorded tremors of magnitude 6.0 near the coast of Iceland. This was announced on June 21 by the US Geological Survey (USGS). According to the service, the earthquake occurred at 19:07 UTC World Coordinated Time (22:07 Moscow time). Its epicenter was 51 kilometers northeast of the city of Siglufjordur, and the center was located at a depth of 10 km. At the same time, information about possible damage and destruction as a result of tremors was not received. According to the news agency, earlier an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded off the coast of Iceland near 86 km from the capital of the country, Reykjavik.
