Nintendo has already sold more than 55.77 million portable Switch consoles in the world. This was announced on May 7 by Nintendo Life portal. The company published a report in which it reported that between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020 it managed to sell 21.03 million portable consoles of this model. This means that Switch sales increased by 24% over the year. It is worth noting that the light Switch Lite accounted for 6.19 million sales out of a total of 55.77 million. As for games and programs for Switch, 168.72 million copies of various software were sold during the year, which is 42.3% more than in the same last period. Recall, the release of the portable console Switch Lite took place on September 20, 2019. Earlier, the news agency reported that in March and April 2020, demand in the United States for Nintendo's portable console sharply exceeded supply, resulting in the company's decision to increase production volumes.
