The European Commission will spend €3.2 million to protect the EU mission in Ukraine
The European Commission was concerned about the safety of employees of the European Union advisory mission in Ukraine. Thus, 3.2 million are planned to be allocated for the protection of the mission's personnel and property in the next two years. The Security Service will be required to inspect vehicles and visitors, as well as internal and external patrols, video surveillance and warning of incidents. The terms of the contract provide for the establishment of mobile rapid response teams. It is specified that round-the-clock security and patrol will be installed to ensure the physical protection of personnel, materiel, equipment and service facilities of the European Union advisory mission to reform the civil security sector of Ukraine. Thus, today the European mission includes three facilities in Kiev and four local offices in the rest of Ukraine. As the news agency reported, at the end of March it became known that the European Union will allocate 80 million euros to Ukraine for the fight against coronavirus.
