Armoured vehicles to combat coronavirus introduced in Chisinau

Armoured vehicles appeared on the streets of the capital of Moldova Chisinau on March 24. According to the news agency, dozens of armoured vehicles and armoured personnel carriers were dispersed in different parts of Chisinau as part of the protection of public order during the state of emergency due to the threat of coronavirus spread. The Moldovan authorities decided to expand the PE regime from March 25 and to involve military personnel in the protection of public order in Moldova. According to the Prime Minister of Moldova Ion Kiku, the tightening will consist in a ban on visiting parks and other public revenge. Also, older people are forbidden to leave their homes without special necessity, which they must confirm. According to the news agency, on March 18, the authorities of Moldova declared a state of emergency in the republic until May 15. The Republic has so far registered 109 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus. Authorities predict that this number will rise to 400,500.
